We are eagerly looking forward to the weekend: we can't wait to enjoy the videomapping show that will bring the façade of the Palazzo dei Diamanti to life from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 March.
"The Light of the Diamon" is the title of the show running parallel to the great exhibition "Renaissance in Ferrara. Ercole de'; Roberti and Lorenzo Costa" Drawn on the 8,000 spikes of the city's most famous palace, not only the legend of the hidden diamond - which we told you about here - but also the great works of the Renaissance masters such as Ercole de'; Roberti and Lorenzo Costa, of course, but also Mantegna, Cosmé Tura, Boccaccino, Perugino, Guido Mazzoni and the other protagonists of the exhibition set up inside Palazzo dei Diamanti, which for the occasion will also be open in the evening, until 11.00 pm (the museum ticket office closes at 10.15 p.m.).
The show will be screened about every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, March 3, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, March 4, and from 7 p.m. to midnight on Sunday, March 5. The show is free of charge and viewing is recommended from the Quadrivio degli Angeli, the junction between Corso Biagio Rossetti and Corso Ercole I d'Este, which will be closed to traffic for the event.
The technical mastery will be that of Andrea Bernabini, with 3D visual artist Sara Calium and Davide Lavia, music designer.
Ferrara and light, a special combination: this is not the first time that Ferrara has been lit up with magic; from the famous fire in the Castle on New Year's Eve, to the evocative illuminations of the Este residence on the most special occasions. From time to time, our splendid city shines in the name of its cultural ferment and the playful initiatives it proposes to please its affectionate public.
But to date, there are two moments in particular that we remember with bated breath and that we would like to share with you, in the hope that our tale will make you dream of Ferrara and its magical light, to the point of making you feel the need to rush to experience it in full.
A well-established bond, then, between Ferrara and its magical lights. Aren't you curious to experience its enchantment with us? We have thought of a journey between history and contemporaneity, a unique experience for three days and two nights in the city. The Renaissance on display, the figure of Lucrezia Borgia, the city of the Addizione Erculea, on the one hand, and the contemporaneity of the light show, on the other, to discover a Ferrara suspended in time, capable of representing historical tradition through innovation and modernity.
