Christmas in Ferrara: ever closer!

Ferrara dressed for the holidays: the countdown to the lighting of lights and tree!

We're almost there: the countdown begins for Christmas lovers!

From Saturday, December 2, Ferrara will shine under 130 kilometers of led illuminations, among the streets of the historic center. It will be dusk that will give us the first show of the year and embellish the famous promenade on the Listone.

In Piazza Municipale, on the other hand, passing under the arch that overlooks the Cathedral, the spectacle of a ten-meter twinkling star will leave you breathless. Finally, in the magnificent setting of Piazza Ariostea, a nativity scene with luminous architecture.

An eye for the city and the environment: all Christmas decorations are low-consumption Led technology.

The Listone in Piazza Trento e Trieste, for those who don't know, is the architectural element that raises the pavement just a step, like a kind of huge sidewalk, 120 meters long and 12 meters wide. Under the Christmas holidays, however, our Listone is no longer so noticeable, covered by the 34 little wooden houses of the colorful traditional market.

From Nov. 18 until Jan. 7, 2024, the square will host CNA's Christmas Village, and Confesercenti's Gift Festival for a bit of Christmas shopping among gift ideas, local crafts, Christmas decorations, books and small pampering, including gourmet treats!

Municipal Square, meanwhile, will host Santa's Country from Sunday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m. with the inaugural show.

Eight kilometers of LEDs, on the other hand, will illuminate our Christmas tree, also in Trento e Trieste Square, which as every year will be lit with pomp and circumstance on December 8. How tall will our big tree be? We will soon find out-and you will be the first to know!
