Comfort Festival® focuses on the psychological and physical well-being of the audience rather than seeking large crowds. The festival was born in 2021 from a simple idea by Barley Arts founder Claudio Trotta: to use a beautiful and natural location to allow the audience to spend a relaxing day enjoying good music.

The Nuova Darsena of Ferrara, a recently redeveloped area, is a particularly suggestive place where land and water meet. It is a truly unique location in the heart of the city of Ferrara (UNESCO heritage) to attend events, spend the evening in good company, and especially at sunset, enjoy the reflection of the sunset on the water. This extraordinary setting will host the great return to the stage after 9 years of The Gaslight Anthem in their only Italian date of summer 2024, during which they will present their new album "History Books" (2023). Preceding the band of Brian Fallon and company on stage will be Gary Clark Jr., an acclaimed blues singer and guitarist with a long series of accolades – including several Grammy Awards – for his works, including the extraordinary "This Land" (2019). In the late afternoon, the Rival Sons, a Californian blues rock band that released two albums in 2023, "Darkfighter" and "Lightbringer", will take the stage. They will be preceded by a band particularly loved by New Jersey sound enthusiasts: Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, closely tied with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and cited by Jon Bon Jovi as a major inspiration. Slow Music ETS is also confirmed as a partner of the festival this year and presents The War and Treaty, a duo mixing blues, gospel, soul, bluegrass, and country, nominated for Grammy Awards with their latest studio work "Blank Page" (2023), also performing their only Italian date. Opening the day will be Hardwicke Circus, produced by the legendary Dave Robinson, founder of Stiff Records, and Lovesick as the only Italian artists of the day.
