Christmas and New Year's Eve in Ferrara... enjoy it all!

December in Ferrara is... lights, shopping, music, shows and much more!

From 19 November, the classic Christmas markets will open in Piazza Trento e Trieste, with many proposals from local craftsmen, wonderful Christmas decorations, food and wine products, and much more.
From the late afternoon of 3 December, you will be able to stroll around the Piazza and the streets of the historic centre, illuminated by more than one hundred kilometres of illuminations - all low-energy - that will make them sparkle. Piazza Trento Trieste will be flooded with a veritable cascade of lights, while in Piazza Municipale you will find an unusual - but truly spectacular - ground decoration. The light trail will also follow you on your walk in Piazza Savonarola and Viale Cavour. In the beautiful, green Piazza Ariostea, a giant three-dimensional star no less than 18 metres long by 6 metres high will await you! 

On Sunday 4 December from 5 p.m., a show inspired by the merry-go-rounds of yesteryear will parade through the streets of the historical centre. Golden Carousel will bring magic to the streets of the city: glittering costumes, music and breathtaking performances will transport you into a bright and fairy world.

On Thursday 8 December from 17:00, the show for the lighting of the traditional Christmas tree in the Cathedral Square: lights and whiteness will be accompanied by a musical performance by the band 'Souvenir de Noel'. You cannot miss the magic of the tree in a surprising Christmas atmosphere. In the evening, the Municipal Theatre will host the traditional Air Force Christmas benefit concert. 

Saturday 10 December at 5.30 p.m. is the concert of Le Dolce Vita. The harmony, elegance and charm of this trio will provide an unmissable experience for lovers of good music. Jade Tripaldi, Giada Mercandelli and Martina Barani will perform a mix of the world's most popular songs and the most listened-to Christmas songs ever.

On Sunday 18 December at 5 p.m. in Piazza Castello, look up and feel great with the Sonics! Famous all over the world for their spectacular aerial acrobatic theatre, these incredible athletes will bring to the shadow of the Estense Castle a show full of suspended evolutions and astonishing scenic structures, all accompanied by captivating music!

Saturday 24 December at 5 p.m. through the streets of the centre the enchantment and fascination of White Carousel!

Christmas in Ferrara is not only in the city centre! From 26 November to 15 January, Parco Coletta, next to the railway station, will host the Ferrara Winter Park with many rides and attractions for children and families, including a wonderful Ferris wheel! You will also find a food area and some indoor venues to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere at its best - and warmest. 

And on 31 December, the incredible and exciting Castle Fire returns! An impressive fireworks display to the rhythm of music, which we are sure will remain in your eyes and hearts for a lifetime! While waiting for midnight a live radio broadcast, shows and concerts!   

And again, throughout the month of December, art exhibitions in some of the city's most atmospheric locations and many exciting events that we will unveil in the coming weeks.
