Imagine being able to explore some of the city's most beautiful monuments and historic buildings, accompanied by young guides. This is Monumenti Aperti, a national initiative that every year involves about 60 municipal administrations, 25,000 students and 1000 historical places that are opened to the public during one weekend. Born 25 years ago in Cagliari from the passion and civic commitment of a group of university students, Monumenti Aperti over the years has expanded like wildfire across the country.  

The first edition in Ferrara was held in 2017, immediately gathering great success with the public. The event focuses on the most significant places and areas of architectural significance that make up and characterize the historic centre of Ferrara, a UNESCO heritage site. The visits are structured according to a common thread that emphasizes the narrative elements, creating engaging paths for visitors. It is a stimulating and formative moment for young guides and, at the same time, as if the city was holding a great festival, the streets are filled with joy.
