Protecting, preserving and enhancing the cultural heritage, opening it up to the public and inviting all Italians to get to know and visit it: this is the mission of the FAI. Two days to discover the less visible monuments of the cities. The FAI autumn days 2024 will be held from 12 to 13 October.
FAI Days
Since 2011, in mid-October, the FAI – Italian Environment Fund – has been taking you to discover Italy's cultural and landscape heritage with the FAI Autumn Days. This event is reminiscent of the format of the FAI Spring Days but with a difference: it is young people who organise it! These days constitute a unique occasion in which volunteers from FAI Youth Groups throughout Italy are faced with a truly impressive organization, opening hundreds of special places in the approximately 350 Italian cities where the initiative takes place, with the support of all the active delegations from the north to the south of the Italian Peninsula.
An adventure among different itineraries for villages, nature trails and green places, in addition to the always splendid guided tours in some of the most striking city locations that are not usually accessible to the public. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a pleasant day among the colours of autumn, surrounded by the sparkling enthusiasm of the youngest and most passionate among us, who will take you to discover our heritage!
The Ferrara delegation is committed every year to the unearthing of hidden, unknown or usually inaccessible jewels, to remind Ferrara and non-Ferrara residents how much the city can offer! So many properties have been opened over the years, from the baroque Church of San Carlo to the evocative Casa Minerbi del Sale, in via Palazzo Trotti-Mosti, home to the Faculty of Law of the University of Ferrara.
