MEET FERRARA SAYS

In Italy, even though our language is Italian, every place has a different way of speech that is closely linked to its tradition and identity. Our local dialects represent a great cultural heritage that makes our country unique from north to south.

This is why we want to introduce you to our own dialect, explain its particular features and also introduce you to the use of some terms that you cannot miss in everyday life in Ferrara!

In order to carry out this hard task, we have decided to rely on Ferrara Says: a project born seriously as a fun idea, whose purpose is to put dialect, culture and tradition in the spotlight. 

Together we will provide you with a digital vocabulary to learn about this strange language that is spoken between the walls and the fog of the city. 

However, if you are more experienced, and already have a little bit of a trained ear, you will get the chance to explore and brush up on the popular words and expressions that every Ferrarese has heard repeated, at least a hundred times, by their grandparents. 

To spice it all up: a bit of sane irony! Even if it causes wrinkles, having a laugh is always good for you.
